The Women’s Chavurah was started by a group of women who attend programs, classes, or activities at Commerce Chabad. and area homes.

We are committed to bringing Jewish women together with exciting and diverse programs regardless of affiliation or practice.

During this season of renewal and spiritual make-overs,
we enjoyed a ladies day out and a physical make-over.

Uncovering the Feminine Side of Pesach                                A ladies’ night out where we shared ideas and recipes.           We discovered the  women’s role in the story of Passover and decorated a Matzah cover.

 

Women’s Chavurah - A Ladies Night Out
On Thursday March 5, 2009, we rolled, filled and shaped hamantashen and of course, ate some too. What original ideas each of the three groups came up with in the "Dress Queen Esther” Game. We ended the evening by packing Shalach Manos gifts to be delivered to local elderly as part of our "Purim with Love” program.
 

Hosted by Estie Greenberg of Commerce Chabad, the Challah Baking Workshop on July 16, featured a delicious meal followed by step-by-step, hands-on instruction in the art of bread-making. Using prepared dough, forty some hands braided beautiful loaves by threes and sixes, some learning anew, some remembering. As they braided, the women laughed, shared and reminisced.
