The Jewish community in Commerce has started a Jewish Teen Youth Group where Jewish girls can come together and socialize while doing fun activities relating to Judaism

We had a challah baking session on 1/31/08. We learned how to make dough and had a short lesson on the mitzvah of challah. Then, we learned different techniques on how to braid challah and made dough of our own to take home! It was a wonderful experience and we all had a great time!
At our inaugural event we had a Chanukah party featuring Cookie Decorating and Candle Making. We melted wax, colored the wax, dipped wicks and shaped candles. The Chanukah shaped cookies were decorated beautifully and tasted as good as they looked!
